Interim Executive Director

MCM-TV has always been a special place for me. I first began volunteering here as play-by-play and color commentator for high school sports and have loved it ever since. In 2017 I was hired as an operations assistant. Over time my role at MCM grew and I took on different responsibilities including creating our portable streaming kit and overseeing social media as well as filming sports. It has been a pleasure to build relationships with the wonderful MCM community of hosts, producers, guests and film club members.

I am grateful for the opportunity to lead MCM-TV in the interim, and hope that I can lead us into the future with a steady hand.

Programming Director, Training, Digital Video Specialist

I started at MCM-TV in 2013. I teach classes in media production, train and support the volunteer producers as well as support the wide variety of systems in house from the computers and edit stations, to the Cablecast on air system as well as produce many of the in house informational and promotional content and productions. I teach classes in media production, screenwriting, animation, special effects and sound design, one on one and in groups in our media training center. I also coordinate and support the Saturday film group. A group set up to learn by doing the ins and outs of film production. I come to MCM from a varied background in film and video and I’ve been through the online UCLA screenwriting progam and have a Masters from Humboldt State in Film and Theater. I have worked at a number of high profile and low profile production and animation studios in the Portland and LA areas and several media oriented institutes of higher learning in the Portland area. I am excited to help and facilitate community volunteer producers and media makers to create their best shows and realize their vision in a way that brings people together through community media.

Production Intern

My first introduction to film and newscasting was a film class I took during my freshman year. Ever since then, I have spent my time working in visual communication. Be it editing videos or filming goofy shorts with my siblings, I was always doing something visual. I have expanded my horizons in filmography and have honed my craft in many ways. I have worked a few gigs with MCM in the past as a film student, so I was very excited when an internship opportunity was offered and have loved every minute of it so far. I have dreams of working in film and cinematography after I graduate from High School, and MCM is providing me with the experience I need to be able to truly thrive in that field. I am very happy to have the opportunity to develop my skills with a group of very talented and experienced people who are passionate about the same things I am.
