We Want YOU...to learn how to make your own television program!

MCM's training classes are designed to provide community members with the skills necessary to produce excellent quality television programs. Check out our offerings below. PRODUCER PREVIEW: Find out what you can do at MCM!

Introduces new producers to MCM and community television. Tour the facility and learn about public access television and MCM’s mission. Discover how to get involved with MCM through program production and volunteering.

One session: 30 Minutes

Cost: Free


HD CAMERA PRODUCTION and EDITING: Basic HD camera operation and Final Cut Pro X editing.

Participants will learn basic HD camera operation on MCM's Sony NX70u professional cameras, as well as practical shooting techniques and project planning. Covers basic lighting and audio as well. Bring your footage back from session one and learn to use Final Cut Pro X editing software. Final Cut is a professional editing application that is easy and fun to use. Requires a basic knowledge of computer use.

Two sessions approx. 1 hour each

STUDIO: The challenge and exhilaration of multiple camera production.

Learn how to make television programs in MCM's 4 camera studio. Discover new skills on a studio production team. Learn to direct talent and technicians. Create eye popping graphics. Refine camera skills. Release the technical director inside you!


CUSTOM ADVANCED TRAINING

Want to learn more advanced skills like advanced editing, and camera use, or maybe some green screen, visual effects and motion graphics using using Apple motion 5 and FCPX? We can help with one on one training by our Digital Video Specialist Phil Guzzo.

Pre-requisite: Producer Preview, Field Camera and Editing.

We can set up custom training to help you with the skills and techniques you'd like learn or take further.

Each 1 hour session is $15
